The company was started in response to the large quantity of low quality and inferior AK receivers and products that dominated the market. We saw the need for higher quality components and chose to utilize the services of aerospace companies to manufacture these components to a significantly higher degree of precision. We utilize higher grades of steel, special heat treatment processes, machining to tight tolerances and 100 percent inspection to achieve performance and durability that has yet to be matched by any other manufacturer, while maintaining a highly competitive price point.

The business has since expanded into design and manufacture of components for numerous firearms, used to complete builds of part sets. Replications of foreign weapons systems and military weapons systems along with sourcing of weapons for the unique needs of military and law enforcement agencies. McKay Enterprises, LLC, is a U. S. Small Business entity, owns the designs/drawings and tooling for numerous foreign weapons and foreign weapon components. McKay Enterprises uses several contract manufacturers for production of its components and accessories. We have both in-stock and immediate access/availability to acquire and supply accessories for a wide variety of foreign non-standard weapon systems. McKay Enterprises is structured to provide single point access to world-wide stocks of major non-standard small arms weapon systems, accessories and components and provides fully-tailored solutions designed to meet all non-standard foreign weapon system requirements. Quality control and inspection is handled by the respective contractor with oversight by McKay management. Some foreign weapon variants are manufactured and assembled outside the US. McKay Enterprises provides access to acquire these numerous foreign weapons systems through world-wide contacts in an existing and robust import/export network. Where necessary, McKay Enterprises also has the ability to modify these foreign weapons systems to make them ATF compliant firearms.

For many years, McKay Enterprises has been providing innovative solutions for the firearms industry. Our close working relationship with a host of world-wide non-standard weapon manufacturers has placed us at the forefront of the domestic and international market. We provide unique armorer’s support and tool kits for all non-standard weapons that are imported. We offer various U. S. built parts and components as well as have access to hundreds of foreign made parts and components. McKay Enterprise can accessorize all of our non-standard weapons with either original parts, or customized parts with tighter tolerance specifications. In many cases, we are requested to provide other type accessories to include non-standard weapon custom rails, night scope and sighting device mounts. For select and approved U. S. and international military customers we can apply customized foreign military markings and can provide options for "aging" of non-standard weapons for battle worn appearances. Additionally, McKay Enterprises can provide cleansing of markings for classified and covert military customer operational requirements.
