NEW BUDGET RIFLES FROM ARMALITE
ArmaLite company announced a series of sports rifles release called DEF15 and DEF15F for the cartridge caliber 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem and DEF10 for cartridge 7.62 NATO/.308 Win.
Despite the high rate (the cost of DEF15 and DEF15F - $699, and DEF10 - $999), these are the most genuine rifle of AR-15, AR-10 model.
“Our purpose - is to provide the legendary AR rifle quality, which everyone could afford. And we did it” - said the ArmaLite vise-president Wolt Nesser.
The rifle complex is pretty much budget. The DEF15 and DEF15F - are carbines with 16” barrels and a short move of a gas forcer.
The only difference between these two models is a gas chamber. DEF15 has a Picatinny rail on its chamber and DEF15F has a standard foresight.
DEF10 is offered with a medium move of a gas forcer and a gas chamber with a Picatinny rail.
Like most budget models, these rifles are lack of pillar or optic sight, so the customers will have to buy it separately.
The rifles are manufactured by MIL-SPEC standards and the receivers are made of hard-anodized aluminum alloy 7075-T6.
DEF15 has a 16 inches barrel length. It’s chrome-plated with a factory double burnishing and has a cutting step from 1 to 7 for bullets with weight from 69 to 80 gr.
The DEF10 model has more severe barrel - instead of chroming, it has more smooth melanite covering. The cutting step is from 1 to 11.25 for bullets with weight from 150 to 175 gr.
The receiver, stock and flash suppressor are standards, type A2, non-self-cocked trigger and the Magpul PMAG magazine.
