 HISTORY

In 1998 our founder, Kenny Whitworth  started Whitworth Tool in his small brick garage in West View Ky.  With one small milling machine, he began producing die components for the tool and die industry.

In 1999, our founder purchased a larger (8800 square feet) building in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. More machines and employees were added to meet the growing demand. 

In 2002, we were once again, out of space. Our founder purchased an even larger building (39,400 square feet) in Hardinsburg, Kentucky.

In 2006, the tool and die repair had grown to the point that a new addition was built (an additional 4,000 square feet). Larger machines were added, along with a spotting press for die try-out.

In June of 2006, Whitworth Tool became ISO 9001 Certified.

In September of 2006, Whitworth Tool Inc. became and ISO 17025 Accredited Lab.

In July of 2014, Whitworth Tool  became AS9100C and ISO 9001:2008 Certified.

In August of 2016 Whitworth Tool Inc. has obtained  a Type 7 FFL  with a Class 2 SOT permitting our company to manufacture NFA Firearms and Components.

Since that time, Whitworth Tool Inc. had diversified its services to meet the demands of an ever-changing industrial environment, adding staff, equipment and know-how whenever possible.
