Our AR-15 Firing Pins are precision machined using CNC Swiss style screw machines. The firing pins are made from domestic 17-4 Stainless Steel pre heat treated to an H900 condition and Grade 6 Titanium. Holding tolerances to +/-.0005 on critical dimensions is easily accomplished. The Firing Pin protrusion is machined at .0315 +/- .0005 Mil-spec is .028 to .036 Because of a wide range of bolt manufacturers our firing pin will protrude .030 to .033 in your bolt, eliminating light strikes.

Stainless steel firing pins help eliminate internal corrosion issues and improve reliability. Pre heat treatment of material will provide many benefits including maximizing the life of the firing pin, keeping overall dimensions more stable, increased in strength and toughness, with a minimum Rockwell C hardness of Rc40.

Titanium AR 15 Firing Pins are made from Grade 6 Titanium. The Titaniums Ultimate Tensile Strength of 140,000 psi. It's weight, being 40% lighter than your standard grade of steels, gives you a faster lock time making it a very desirable replacement. Titanium is also Corrosion and High Temperature Resistant to help eliminate galling, fretting and seizing.
